The Anti-Ragging Committee at MBITS, chaired by the principal, has been established in strict accordance with the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Regulation for the Prevention and Prohibition of Ragging in AICTE-approved Technical Institutions, as detailed in Notification No. 37-3/Legal/AICTE/2009 dated 01.07.2009. This committee also adheres to the guidelines set forth by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
The primary function of the Anti-Ragging Committee is to oversee and monitor all anti-ragging activities within the institution. The committee reviews recommendations from the Anti-Ragging Squad and makes key decisions, including determining the appropriate disciplinary actions for those found guilty of ragging.
The committee is composed of a diverse group of representatives, including faculty members, parents, students from both the fresher and senior batches, as well as non-teaching staff. This ensures a comprehensive and inclusive approach to preventing and addressing any instances of ragging within the institution.
