- Fifth semester students participated in the National-level Go-Kart Competition organized by Morphine Motor Sports, Pune, under the guidance of Prof. Abhilash K. V. ‘Team Darkstar’ of MBITS won the Best Emerging Team Award at the event,held at Raftaar Go-Karting Track,Pune from 24 th to 26 th September 2025.

- Half Marathon: Second year students of Mechanical Engineering Department, MBITS organised a half marathon for the awareness of traffic rules.
- Quad Torc: Mechanical Engineering Department, MBITS was then the only team from Kerala who participated in ISNEE Quad Torc competition, final round conducted at Faridabad in 2015
- RAME 2015: Conducted conference in Recent Advances in Mechanical Engineering, RAME 2015, the first national level conference conducted in the history of MBITS.
- First Prize at IISC Bengaluru: Mr.Pradeepmon T.G. Associate Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department, MBTS, Secured First prize in an International Level Conference conducted at IISC Bangalore in 2014
- Patents: Obtained three patents for final year B.Tech project for Mr. Basil Kurian (2010-14 B.Tech Batch).
- IEI Students chapter: Established a Students chapter of IEI, Institution of Engineers, India.
