Mar Baselios Dental College is a Centre for dental excellence and is well-equipped to impart quality-based education with state -of-art supporting facilities. This is the first Dental College in the state of Kerala, “God’s own Country” in the Self Financing Sector. Further, the college has been granted minority status by the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions, Government of India, New Delhi. The educational institute is affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences and approved by the Dental Council of India. The College started in the year 2002 with an annual intake of 40 students for the five-year BDS course. The Seat intake was further increased to 60 within a short span of 3 years in 2005-06. The first Post Graduate program started during the academic year 2009-10 in the stream of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Now there are concurrent Post Graduate programs in Prosthodontics, Oral Medicine and Radiology, Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Periodontics and Implantology, Orthodontics and DentofacialOrthopaedics and Oral Pathology and Microbiology. The College administration keeps utmost professional etiquette, and noteworthy student discipline and maintains the highest standards of academic and co-curricular activity. The institution believes in the holistic development of its students and seeks to provide them with a platform that will ensure a successful career in dentistry.
