Women Cell of Mar Baselios Institute of Technology and Science conducted a 3- day International Webinar on the topic ” Professional Development of Women Engineers in Post Covid Era “on July 20, 21 &22, 2020 in association with Accredited training.online, Canada and YMCA, Pothanicad Unit, Ernakulam, Kerala. The panel was led by Prof. K.V Jayakumar, Professor (HAG), NIT Warangal, India. Other panel members were Dr.V.Barla, Professor & Director, Centre for Applied Research Hyderabad, India,  Dr P. Sojan Lal, Principal, MBITS, Kothamangalam, Kerala, Mrs.

Shainy Peter, MBITS and Mrs. Rini Varghese P, MBITS. The webinar was inaugurated by Dr.Kirti Srivastava, Principal Scientist and Head of Non‐Linear Geophysics Group at National Geophysical Research Institute, Hyderabad. Other esteemed guest was Dr. Rupa N Munugapati, Technical Advisor for International Relationships Development, Ministry of Interior Affairs Decentralization, Government of Madagascar.

The webinar analyzed the scope of women engineers in the contemporary and imminent situation. The webinar was well coordinated by the Women cell and COVID ‘19 cell of the college. It was rich and grounded with the incomparable presence of eminent speakers like Dr.Rashmi Bhardwaj ,Dr.Bhavana B, Dr. Sarani Ghosal Mondal , Dr.Radhika Rani, Dr. H.P. Rani, Dr. G.C. Kavitha, Dr. Savitha Narasimhaiah, Ms. Shruti Gaddam, Ms Smitha D Vaman,  Ms.Chashanthika S from reputed  universities  and institutions across the country. The major topics covered in the webinar especially about the career opportunities of women engineers was felicitous in the present condition. The registration of the webinar was free thus making it accessible for everyone. Students, faculties, research scholars and retired professors enriched the webinar with their valuable presence.
