Report of Visit to Schools

As a part of innovation day (15th Oct 2019) celebration, IIC of our college has organised a seminar for school students. It was organised with the leadership of Dr. P. Sojanlal (Principal, MBITS, Nellimattom) and in collaboration with ISRO. Mr. Vinoy Varghese, (Scientist Engineer SD) and Mr. Jayesh Jayan K (Scientist Engineer SE) were the resource persons. It was a full day program with forenoon and afternoon sessions. Selected four schools are divided into two clusters.

Cluster I

  1. St. John’s Higher Secondary School, Kavalangad, Nellimattom.
  2. St. Joseph’s UP School, Nellimattom

Venue: St. John’s Higher Secondary School , Kavalangad , Nellimattom.

Cluster II

  1. St.John’s HSS, Pulinthanam, Pothanicad
  2. Govt.UP School, Pulinthanam

Venue: St.John’s HSS, Pulinthanam, Pothanicad

Seminar for the cluster1 started at 9.00AM and ended by11.00 AM. For the cluster II  it was from 2.00P.M to 4.00P.M. Students from classes 5,6,7,Plus one and plus two were attended.

The seminar mainly focused on the areas like rocketry, Indian space program, satellites, details of launching vehicles,etc.They also discussed about the new researches that has been going on and also the challenges faced by ISRO.During the question and answer session many students were actively participated.Well performed students among them got appreciation and received special mementos.
