Tech-Olympiad was one of the most successful events hosted by Mar Basil Group of Institutions at MBITS. It was conducted on 11th and 12th of January 2018. The program aimed at identifying technically talented students from High School, Higher Secondary and Polytechnic colleges all over Kerala. The event was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Biju Varkey Korattiyil (Vicar, Marthoma Cheriapally kothamangalam) and Er. S Somanath (Director LPSC ISRO). Dr VP Gangadharan, the renowned Oncologist was honoured in the event. Projects and ideas of students from various departments of our college were exhibited. More than 200 participants were there for the competition, which made the event a grand success. A project expo conducted by ISRO, CIAL, KSEB, KSRTC, Indian Navy, KEL, BSNL, Fire and Rescue were the highlight of the event. Various institutions participated in the exhibition to showcase their achievements and new ideas to the younger minds. ST. Marys Public School Karukadom titled the best school of the Olympiad by winning 50000 cash price and award.
