The event began with an opening ceremony led by Secretary MBITS, Lal Varghese who emphasized the significance of World Environmental Day and the urgent need to address environmental challenges. The Principal MBITS Engineering College and The Principal of Polytechnic College addressed the gathering, Ms. Manju George HoD Civil Engineering Department gave the Environmental day message. A key highlight of the celebration was the sapling planting activity. Participants, including community members, students, and college officials, gathered to plant saplings of various native tree species. The planting took place in campus premises chosen for its potential to benefit from increased greenery.
