The webinar titled “Introduction to Real-Time Audio Processing: Fundamentals and Application” was conducted to provide insights into the principles and practical applications of audio signal processing in real-time. The session aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical understanding and real-world application in the field of audio processing.
The session started with welcome speech by Dr. Robin George, Branch Councillor, IEEE SB MBITS & Professor, ECE Department MBITS. Dr. M.V.`Rajesh, IEEE SPS Kerala Chapter advisor provided an insight into the topic of discussion and encouraged the participants to have a fruitful session though discussion. The session was then handled by Prof.Sherin Thomas, Hod In Charge of Electronics and Communication Department, MBITS.
The webinar commenced with an introduction to the basics of audio signal processing, including the nature of sound, sampling theory, and digital signal processing (DSP) fundamentals. The presenter highlighted the significance of real-time processing in various applications, such as live sound reinforcement, digital audio effects, and voice communication systems.
