The volunteers of NSS MBITS Unit 227 & 571 collected used saaris and other clothes which were stitched and made into cloth bags as a substitute to plastic bags.The challenge was conducted successfully and the bags were distributed during the kanni2 perunal. Malayala Manorama and Jeeva Milk had sponsored cloth bags which were distributed for free.The stitched cloth bags were sold at Rs10 for large size and Rs5 small size.
