Main objective of the camp was to make the students capable of pitching an idea and to have a start up on that idea. For the completion of the goal, we had a well-known entrepreneur and also the nodal officer of Adi Shankara Collage, Kalady. Mr. Ajay Basil Varghese along the camp. He took second day to coverup all objectives with his seminar about problem solving and ideation which include many inspirational stories, funny moments etc. Around 60 students were get benefited by attending the camp.
FIRST DAY
The camp was inaugurated by the principal of SB collage and ice break section was done to make a warm interaction with students of both collages. A treasure hunt was conducted as a part of it to visit the campus and its compound. After that all students were splitted into six teams each with a combination of both students from both collages to have an inter disciplinary benefits to both of the students by having strong theory background as well as technical skills. Then a small funny pitching section was conducted on weird things in the night. After that all the instructions for next day was instructed by the nodal officers of both collages.
SECOND DAY
The main highlight of second day was the seminar section by Ajay sir and he trained the students for how to modify your idea into a start up and most of the students was inspired from his life. He gave a group activity to have an innovative idea and its pitching in front of all on next day. He trained the teams by giving different trials for preparation and also instructed the norms to be in mind while doing a pitching. His words inspired as to come out from the state of inertia and to dream big and to fulfil it. At the end of seminar there was an interactive segment with the students. In the evening mini games were organised to make awareness about team work and cultural programmes were arranged after that.
THIRD DAY
The third day of the bootcamp was full of presentation by each team. There was a judging panel consisting of DR. Paulose Paulose nodal officer of MBITS and Mr. Bensen who is a chemistry professor of the host Vidyalaya. The judging panel was so impressed with the idea of every team. Many questions were raised from judges as well as from audience and almost all teams were successful in answering many of the questions. The best idea, best team, best camper from both collages were awarded in the closing ceremony and many of the students shared their experience of the camp and certificates to all students were awarded at the end.
