The “Yathra 360 Degree” bus washing system, developed by S8 Mechanical Engineering students of MBITS, enables KSRTC buses at the Kothamangalam depot to be cleaned in just five minutes while saving water and reducing manual effort. The system was officially inaugurated by the Honorable Minister for Transport, K. B. Ganesh Kumar, and the function was presided over by Antony John, MLA.
The project was developed by S8 Mechanical Engineering students under the guidance of Prof. Nedheesh Eldo Baby, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department. The project coordinators were Prof. Elson Paul V and Mr. Eldhose K. A. Special attention to the design of the system was provided by Prof. Jobil Varghese. Technical staff members Mr.Bineesh Joy and Mr.Mahesh A.S assisted the students during the fabrication process.
