A session on data science was held by CYBROGS on May 9 at A.P.J. Abdul Kalam seminar hall. The meeting was presided over by resource persons Dr. T.M. Jacob (Associate Prof.) and Dr. Nidhi Ramesh (Associate Prof.), both from the Statistics Department and Data Scientists from Nirmala College. The chief guest, faculty members, and participants in the inaugural event were all warmly welcomed by Asst. Prof. Midhun Mathew, HOD, CSE Department. The seminar was opened by the principal, Dr. P. Sojan Lal. Data Science and its connection to statistics were the main topics of the seminar session. The programme featured constant student engagement and was incredibly educational. Deep learning and machine learning were included as well. Asst. Prof. Teena Skaria, the programme coordinator for the CSE Association, gave the vote of gratitude to close the formal meeting.
