Department of Civil Engineering, organized seminar on coastal engineering. Er. Jomon K George, Chief engineer, Harbour Engineering department, Thiruvananthapuram delivered talk on the subject. He elaborated his experience on harbour construction along the west coast of Kerala, especially Kozhikode district where there are five harbours of great importance. Students of seventh, fifth and third semesters of Civil Engineering attended the seminar. Students had a very good interactive session and they were offered the opportunity to visit the International Seaport project at Vizhinjam.
