The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Mar Baselios Institute of Technology and Science organized a Lecture Series on Propulsion Engineering as part of its innovative academic enrichment initiatives.
The sessions were handled by Dr. Roy N. Mathews, Adjunct Faculty and former Professor of Mar Athanasius College of Engineering. The program was designed for Sixth Semester Mechanical Engineering students.
The lecture series covered key topics such as propulsion systems, turbojet engines, rocket propulsion, propellants, combustion, and flight performance, with emphasis on practical engineering applications. A total of 9 sessions (3 hours each) were conducted from December 2025 to March 2026.
This initiative enhanced students’ conceptual understanding, practical insight, and exposure to advanced propulsion technologies, supporting outcome-based and industry-relevant learning.
