MATH-SCIENCE CLUB INAUGURATION AND NATIONAL MATHEMATICS DAY CELEBRATION

The ‘Math-Science Club’ formed under the aegis of the department of Science and Humanities, MBITS was inaugurated by the college secretary Mr.Binu Kaipillil. Prof. Johny Joseph Principal -in-charge, MBITS presided over the meeting. Mr.Roy Pazhukkalil,treasurer of MBITS and Mr. Siju Jacob, HOD, Science and Humanities Department felicitated the meeting. The occasion was blessed with the presence of HOD’s, Deans, faculty members and students of MBITS. Followed by the Math-Science Club Inauguration, ‘National Mathematics Day’ was celebrated honoring the birth anniversary of ‘Srinivasa Ramanujan’,the great Indian mathematical genius. Dr.Sunny Kuriakose A, Dean(research) and Professor of Mathematics, MBITS delivered a talk on ‘Srinivasa Ramanujan’. The life of Ramanujan and his contributions to mathematics was narrated. The function turned out to be a grant success with around 150 participants.
