A team of 52 students of S5 civil engineering four teachers ( DeepthyVarkey, Jobil Varghese, Anna M Thomas and Shenu Jose K) and lab staff Subin visited the premises of KlarKonkreteAyrurpadam on 28-10-2022. Team started from college after first hour (10 AM). It took half an hour to reach the location. A warm welcome for the team was provided at KalarKonkrete by Proprietor Aby David and his employees. A run down on the functioning of plant was done by the plant manager. Students were divided into four batches with one of the staff member accompanying them. Each batch closely monitored the concrete batching operation. The team proceeded to the precast yard where the pre-tensioning operation was under progress. Later concreting operation for the precast columns was witnessed. Lab staff of KlarKoncrete demonstrated the tests conducted on fresh concrete and clarified their doubts. Refreshments were provided to the students by the company. Student representative (Geethu) proposed the vote of thanks. The team started back to college and reached college by 1:15 PM.
