The Raspberry Pi Workshop was conducted on 27th February 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 PM at the Systems Lab (ECE) as part of the college Technical Fest. The event was coordinated by Prof. Manisha Reji (Faculty Coordinator) and Samuel Joshy (Student Coordinator). The session was handled by Dr. Robin George, Associate Professor at Chinmaya Vishwa Vidhyapeeth, who served as the Resource Person for the workshop. A total of 14 students from various departments participated in the event.
The primary objective of the workshop was to provide practical knowledge on Raspberry Pi-based system development and its applications in embedded systems and IoT. The session included an introduction to Raspberry Pi architecture, operating system installation, basic Linux commands, GPIO interfacing, and real-time project demonstrations. Participants were given hands-on training in configuring the board and interfacing with peripheral devices.
The workshop was interactive and informative, enabling students to gain practical exposure to single-board computing and real-time application development. The event successfully enhanced participants’ technical skills and encouraged further exploration in IoT and embedded system technologies.
