The Grand Inauguration Ceremony of the IEEE Computer Society, Circuits and Systems Society (CASS), and the Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group, along with the formal inauguration of the IEEE Student Branch website, was held on 22 October 2025 at the APJ Seminar Hall. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and invited guests.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Sri Binoy Mannachery, (Secretary, MBITS) Dr. Shajan Kuriakose, (Director, MBITS) Dr. Thomas George, (Principal, MBITS) Dr. Sreelal S, (Outstanding Scientist, ISRO).The event commenced with a welcome address followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The dignitaries delivered inspiring remarks highlighting the importance of IEEE platforms in encouraging technical innovation, research culture, professional development, and student leadership.

The inauguration of the IEEE Student Branch website marked a significant milestone for the institution, providing a centralized platform to showcase chapter activities, achievements, upcoming events, and resources. The website aims to enhance visibility, improve student engagement, and strengthen the digital presence of the IEEE initiatives at MBITS.Each of the IEEE chapters was formally declared open, with an outline of their objectives and planned technical activities for the academic year.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, faculty members, coordinators, and student volunteers for making the event a grand success.
